I am a tenured full professor at the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management, Vienna University of Economics and Business. I lead the new Institute for Distributed Ledgers and Token Economy. I am currently on leave from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Khalifa University, UAE.

My current research interests include:

• blockchain engineering,

• cryptoeconomics,

• systems trust, privacy and security, and

• software engineering.
